Kumaon is one of the two divisions of Uttarakhand state. Its headquarter is located in the beautiful lake city of Nainital. Kumaon Division consists of six districts Nainital, Almora, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Champawat, and the industrial area Udham Singh Nagar. 

Nainital is known for its scenic natural splendour and varied natural resources. Dotted with lakes, Nainital has earned the epithet of ‘Lake District‘ of India. The city has several other tourist attractions, such as Naina Devi Temple, Tiffin Top, Snow View Point, Eco Cave Gardens and more.

Munsiyari Often referred to as “Little Kashmir”, Munsiyari is a cosy hamlet located in the Pithoragarh District of Uttarakhand. The base camp for expeditions to the Nanda Devi Peak is Munsiyari. One of the best treks here is to the Khaliya top. An easy route, it takes you through stunning scenery.

Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a limestone cave situated 13 km from Gangolighat in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. It is considered to be the abode of Lord Shiva and every other God present in Hindu mythology. The cave is believed to be as old as the earth itself and exploring this cave is considered nothing short of a lifetime experience

Baijnath is a small town on the banks of the Gomati River in the Bageshwar district in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand. Baijnath is one of the four places connected by the ‘Shiva Heritage Circuit’ in Kumaon

• Start early from Delhi and drive to Nainital

• After rest, Visit Naini Lake and Naina Devi Temple in Nainital.

Baijnath to Munsyari

Munsyari visit

  • Trek to Khaliya Top, a meadow that offers stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. The trek is about 6 km long and takes about 4-6 hours to complete
  • Visit Birthi Falls, a waterfall that cascades from a height of 126 meters. It is located about 35 km from Munsiyari and can be reached by car or bike. The waterfall offers an extremely refreshing experience and is surrounded by lush greenery
  • Thamri Kund is a small pond located in the forests of Munsiyari region of Uttarakhand. It is a sacred lake that is believed to bless the region with rain in case of drought 23. It is also a popular destination for trekkers who enjoy the calmness and serenity of the place, as well as the magnificent view of the Panchachuli peaks. The trek to Thamri Kund is about 3 km long and takes around 2 hours 2
  • Shop for some local handicrafts and souvenirs at the Main Market of Munsiyari. You can buy some incredible hand-woven rugs, pashmina shawls, sheepwool carpets, organic potatoes, and Himalayan tree saplings. You can also enjoy some local dishes like Kuka, a soup made with lentils and herbs

Munsyari to Patal bhuvaneswar

Drive  Duration- 5-6 hours  Drive Distance- 130km

  • After breakfast, check-out from your hotel or resort and drive to Patal Bhuvaneshwar
  • Enjoy the scenic views of the countryside and the hills along the way.
  • Reach Patal Bhuvaneshwar by afternoon and check-in at your hotel or homestay.
  • Visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave Temple, this cave is considered to be one of the most mysterious and spiritual places in India
