Geography of punjab
Most of Punjab lies in a fertile, alluvial plain with perennial rivers and an extensive irrigation canal system. A belt of undulating hills extends along the northeastern part of the state at the foot of the Himalayas.

Temperatures usually remain between 16° to 27° in autumn. The minimum temperature is around 11 °C. Summer: The temperature in summer (from Mid-May to Mid-June) may rise to a maximum of 48 °C (rarely). Temperatures generally remain between 35 °C to 45 °C (94 – 112F).

How to reach
BY TRAIN- Most of the trains traveling into Punjab from the rest of India pass through the railhead at Delhi. Both tourists and locals can opt for express trains such as Amritsar Shatabdi, Moga Shatabdi, Golden Temple Mail, Punjab Mail, and Shan-e-Punjab.
BY AIR – The main airports of
Punjab are located in Amritsar and Ludhiana. The regular flights to Delhi can be taken from here. Union Territory of Chandigarh that serves as the capital of both Haryana and Punjab also has domestic terminal.
BY ROAD- There are operators running their buses between Jalalabad (Punjab) to Delhi bringing necessary travel convenience for several people in India. All buses are driven by experienced drivers ensuring safety during journey.
Best time to visit
Last from April to June and are marked by hot weather and arid conditions. It is very much recommended to avoid hot summers and rainy season. The best time to visit Punjab is during winters. The winter months are from October to March.
